So I’m still on my little quilt kick.
This was so fun to make. If you look closely, you can see that it’s actually composed of 16 blocks. I literally cut solid squares from dark gray fabric, spliced them up, and re-stitched them with bands of bright hues in between.
I’m clearly loving my minis, but I took a larger lap quilt detour when I was beyond inspired by this gorgeous quilt by Red Pepper Quilts.
A soft flannel backing- per usual.
Oh stripes. I have to admit– they can be difficult to work with. They’re finicky and prone to shrinkage– has anyone else noticed that they seem to want to shorten as you stitch them together along their long sides? But they’re worth it– the end product never disappoints.
